Theme: International Law and Water
Deadline: 9th April 2022.
Water has long been an important resource and is considered under threat both from an environmental point of view but also from a security vantage, faced with piracy, a causeway for arms transfers and increasing instability. Jus Cogens: The International Law Blog happily invites authors to send in their submissions for our new series in which we focus on the broadly topic of International Law and Water. We particularly encourage submissions from early-career scholars, undergraduate and graduate students, and policymakers from the Global South.
Examples of topics that can be discussed include:
- The human right to water
- Sustainable development goals and water
- Law of the Sea
- The weaponization of water by armed groups and State actors
Submissions should be no longer than 1500 words and contain hyperlinked sources. Submissions should be sent to juscogensblog@gmail.com.
The deadline for this call-for-submissions is 09 April 2022. For our full guidelines, please check our submission guidelines.
Happy Writing!
